I love the way the Windows Start Menu allow me to access the applications easily in My PC. Have you ever wish for search Start Menu for your android device? If yes, then you are at the right place.
In this post, I'll be showing you how to apply a Windows-style start menu on your Android device by using app called "Taskbar" developed by AntTek's.
Let's get started.
Step 1: Install Taskbar from Playstore. Here's the link: Taskbar
Taskbar will let you launch apps, toggle settings, search apps, configure wifi connection, adjust brightness and even allow you to change account profile picture. This app does not require root access however if you have then you'll be definitely benefited of some additional functionality.
Step 2: Configure Your Start Menu
Now after installation, launch the app. You will see similar UI shown below. Make sure you have checked "Enable Taskbar".
Now select "Edit start menu" to manually adjust the setting of taskbar as per your requirements.
In "Edit start menu" section, you can include or exclude apps, created folder from "Edit Start menu items".
You can also adjust Start menu height. transparenct and taskbar height in " Edit start menu layout section".
You can also add settings to taskbar, such as toggling Wi-Fi, adjusting brightness and location services. If you've rooted device then you can also add reboot and shutdown options.
Further, you can also select Start Button Icon from total of 9 icons.You can also adjust start button transparency level.
Step 3: Configure UIs
In this section you can select the Taskbar theme. Currently only three themes are available: Default, Classic and Black. You can also adjust taskbar position.
Another best feature of this app is that it has multilingual support i.e you can choose language as per your nationality. Currently, it supports only 26 languages.
Step 4: Navigate your Taskbar
To activate the taskbar, simply tap on the faint Taskbar icon. You can also adjust the position of the taskbar icon by tapping and holding it, then dragging to the desired location.
Additional Features:
There is a premium version available for purchase at $1.99 that will remove ads, provide additional features like create unlimited folders,pin unlimited items on taskbar, change theme and change start menu icon.
